1. Finding the Lists Section:

  • Login: Log into HubSpot using your credentials.
  • Navigation: In the left-hand sidebar, navigate to "CRM" and then select "Lists." This will take you to the main lists dashboard.

2. Creating a New Contact List:

  • "Create List" Button: Click the orange "Create list" button in the top right corner of the dashboard.
  • List Type: Choose the type of list you want to create:
    • Contact-based: For lists based on contact properties and behaviors.
    • Company-based: For lists that are based on company properties.
  • List Type (Active or Static): Choose between an Active list (updates automatically as contacts meet or do not meet the criteria) or a Static list (a snapshot of contacts that meet the criteria at the time of creation).
  • Set Criteria: Use the filter options to define the criteria for your list. You can filter by contact properties, activity, list memberships, and more.
  • Name and Save: Give your list a descriptive name and click "Save."

  • Finding the List: Locate the list you want to edit on the lists dashboard. You can use the search bar to find it quickly.
  • Opening the List: Click on the name of the list to open it.
  • Editing Criteria: To change the list's criteria, click the "Edit filters" button. Make your adjustments and click "Apply filters."
  • Renaming the List: To rename the list, click the actions dropdown at the top right, and select "Rename".
  • Deleting Contacts from a Static List: For static lists, you can manually remove contacts by selecting them and clicking "Remove from list." Note that this does not delete the contact from Hubspot, only from the list.
